About Us

162Chai Around The World started out as an experiment, to see if two working professionals who are also travelers can find the time and the energy to keep alive a blog about their travels around the globe. Mansi Pal and Nikhil Kumar, two advertising professionals based in Bangalore, who are also madly in love with each other and with traveling, started this blog with the intention of keeping an online diary or sorts to document their craziness.

Mansi is a happy-go-lucky kook who believes in Angels, but is skeptical about God. She is a traveler with no inhibitions and has traveled almost everywhere in India on her own and with friends. Of late, she has been traveling with Nikhil and in her words, describes the experience as “…not without it’s perks.” We should take that as a good sign for this couple.

Nikhil is a happy-go-lucky, slightly overweight kook, who believes in Mansi, but is skeptical about God. He’s a beach bum by nature and is forced to work to earn a living and pay his bills. But then, aren’t we all? He’s been to quite a few places in India and abroad, but in his own words, ever since he started traveling with Mansi, “…I’ve become a new man.”

Here’s a message to all of you from the lovely couple:

“We hope you enjoy your stay here. Read up on our crazy adventures, add us to your reading lists and we promise, we’ll either return the favor or buy you lots of chai.”
